Who we are
Meet the Beekeepers - John and Dee Cook
Where do we get the honey? We are beekeepers...well, John is the beekeeper and I market it ... and the honey we sell is pure, raw and from the Colorado Rockies on the Eastern Front Range where we live.
John started beekeeping as a hobby in 1981 in California and has kept hives off and on since then. Truth is he loves bees and everything about them.
Most of the year the "girls" take care of themselves, and we devote ourselves to our full time occupation - Indigenous Ministries (www.IndigenousMinistries.org), a nonprofit that takes us into many parts of the world helping nationals with training and planting churches.
I work with women through Beautiful International (www.BeautifulInternational.org) helping them through international conferences, business projects and mentorships. We have a Refugee Child Sponsorship Program for kids who are, through no fault of their own, caught in the devastation of the wars in Iraq and Syria. Our amazing teams in Iraq are refugees themselves, as of April 2019, we have almost 500 refugee kids in the program.
Sponsorship is $39 to help one of these kids - we hope you'll consider taking one on! To learn more about how this works, click here. You can sponsor online here.
Honey has a number of health benefits and we hope you will take the time to explore these for yourself on this website. Thanks for taking the time to stop in and visit with us for a bit - hope you enjoy this growing website.
Blessings - John & Dee Cook
